Vice President, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs – Calgary
Edelman Canada is currently seeking an executive-level communications and public affairs professional to join our growing team in Calgary. This is an amazing opportunity for a proven professional with experience and expertise in communications, public affairs, crisis communications and public relations within the energy and natural resources sectors. The ideal candidate will understand how to influence political, media and stakeholder environments, while also having experience working in a corporate communications and public relations capacity.
This role is for you if you have an aptitude and interest in growing our business and representing a new and different point of view (public engagement) in the marketplace. This role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities including being a partner in growing the business; a counselor providing strategic advice to clients; and a practitioner, executing tactics and programs on behalf of our clients.
We are looking for a confident and seasoned public relations professional who is comfortable working with executives and thrives in a results-driven and fast-paced environment. Media and community relations, crisis and corporate communications, emergency preparedness and new business development experience is a must. The successful candidate will play a significant role in growing our practice, providing strategic counsel to clients, while managing a profile of highly reputable brands.
