2012 CPRS Toronto ACE Awards – We’ll Take Seven, Please!

On Thursday, April 26 I had the pleasure of joining my wonderful and very talented colleagues at the 2012 CPRS ACE Awards Gala at the Bram & Bluma Appel Salon. In true Edelman fashion, we showed up early to clink our glasses and congratulate each other on the successes of the past year.

Accompanied by some of our clients, we enjoyed a meal while celebrating the creativity and strategic thinking that went into our award-winning programs. By the end of the evening, we had scooped up seven awards (five bronze and two silver). All I can say is that it sure feels good to be recognized for the hard work that we do at Edelman in front of Toronto’s finest PR professionals. Having worked on Cadbury and Maynards I think it appropriate to say that this was one sweeeeeet evening!

And Then What Happened? Social Purpose: The Value of the End Result

Canadians continue to place high value in companies and brands that integrate purpose into the marketing mix, as echoed by this year’s goodpurpose™ study.  In fact, the survey found that 67 per cent of Canadians are more likely to buy products and services from a company if they know it has brands that support good causes – up from 60 per cent last year.  That said, while we happily participate in calls-to-action to support a great cause, we seldom see the end results of our efforts.
